Japanese confectionery "warabi mochi"

These are some bracken-starch dumpling. I sprinkled them with soybean flour and I ate.

Is there anything inside the dumpling or just plain dumpling? Why you spray soybean flour instead of some brown sugar (I thought the soybean floor is not sweet).

These dumpings are plain.
They were selling with soybean.
